In the lead up to the 2013 Conservative Party Conference in Manchester I worked extensively with former Editor of the Daily Telegraph, Margaret Thatcher’s official biographer and distinguished political journalist, Charles Moore.

I was approached by the newspaper to work with Charles and lead a video project to accompany a talk by him at the annual gathering of Tory blues.
Through extensive research, client/rights holders contacts and calculated project budgeting, I managed to obtain around 50 archive video clips featuring Thatcher at various stages throughout her colourful life.

In a meeting with Charles before the conference, we selected the best 18 clips and I then spliced together a 20 minute video edit for his presentation.
Charles addressed around 500 Conservative Party members/delegates in a talk about his book: ‘Margaret Thatcher: The Authorized Biography, Volume One: Not For Turning’ at the fringe event on Tuesday October 1st.
The Daily Telegraph journalist’s speech focused solely around the video clips of the former Prime Minister and I was charged with playing each of the clips at timed intervals, before he discussed the significance of the footage.
The event was well received by the Party’s following and it was brilliant to research the Iron Lady’s remarkable political career and life, in video form.
